My first jazz workshop on 1st August went very well, with virtually a full house and bags of enthusiasm from all concerned. I was delighted that every student had a go at improvising with the “pro” rhythm section, and many of them stepped outside their comfort zone. Here are a couple of pictures and a few comments -
“Thanks for yesterday. It was a really great day in an informative and nonthreatening environment. Learnt loads and I never thought I could attempt the things I did! Thanks to the backing chaps as well - professional, patient and helpful.” Colin
“Thanks for Saturday, as you could tell I had no experience of Improvisation previously and was a little intimidated at first, but in the end I had a totally enjoyable day and came away with lots of learning's. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did?” Steve
“Really enjoyed the day. If it was, as you said, your first time running a workshop like that, you did very well - the day was well thought out and well structured and everyone there was challenged and got something out of it. Your band was superb - and you are a pretty mean piano player as well.” BillPhotos by Ian Tunnicliffe LRPS LBPA. iantunnicliffe.co.uk
